The holidays are upon us and as AFJ gets ready for the annual decorating and gift-giving ritual, we noticed that there are tons of new holiday-themed toys for 2017. Certainly, there are those of us that break out our NECA Cult Classic John McClane figures every year, but what about some new items? Funko Elf Pop!s
Jon Favreau's 2003 hit comedy has already become a holiday staple. Funko has now captured the cast and Mr. Narwhal in Pop! form. Keep your eyes open for Buddy with the Jack-in-the-Box Chase Variant as well as the Toys ”R" Us exclusive Narwhal. However, it is the BoxLunch exclusive that has us stoked!
Funko Home Alone Pop!s
My wife hates the fact that I refer to John Hughes’ holiday classic Home Alone as Die Hard for kids. Seriously, think about it though. We love the Macaulay Culkin likeness as Kevin McCallister. Yet we have to wonder why one would seek out the Wet Bandits individually when you can pick them up at Best Buy as an Exclusive. All three are solid choices for holiday cheer!
Funko Krampus Pop!s
Michael Dougherty’s 2015 horror holiday film, Krampus, really struck a chord with us. Since then, and with a little research about Krampusnacht and the Feast of St. Nicholas (December 6th), Krampus has found its way into our normal holiday cheer. What better to way to decorate than the cute little Krampus Pop!s that arrived this season? There is a multitude of variants, but the Hot Topic “snow flocked” (felt) is in our holiday sights.
NECA & Shout! Factory’s Silent Night, Deadly Night Santa 
Packaged only with 2,000 orders, directly from Shout! Factory’s website comes the 8-inch clothed Billy Chapman action figure dressed in a fabric Santa suit. These bad boys go on sale December 5th and are perfect for the horror aficionado who loves a bit of gore mixed in with his/her holiday yuletide. Order it HERE. Many, if not all of us have Jack and Sally from Tim Burton’s wonderful stop-motion film. However, this year, how about finally picking up Santa? We have seen this spectacular figure at Toys ”R” Us and it is also under $20! It’s time Sandy Claws joins the collection! FYI, there are elves this year that come with Zero too! Again, both of these now classic holiday characters are available separately. However, why not just get both in one shot and set them on either side of your punch bowl? So here is one for both the comedy and horror movie fan in the house. Who doesn’t need Clark W. Griswold in his tree trimming garb? This figure by NECA may be a tad harder to get by decorating time, let alone Christmas. Be watchful because they are out there. Online may be another story. Another rendition of Clark W. Griswold for the homestead? Why not? What better thing to put on display than Clark in all his holiday glory from the end of the film. Don’t expect to tap dance yourself into one of these right away, they have quickly become hard to find. Entertainment Earth also has them out of stock (HERE). Hopefully, next year, we will have a figure of Clark in his Black Hawks jersey.
Dr. Seuss The Grinch Santa Grinch Pop! Vinyl Figure 
In all your holiday shopping that will transpire, keep your eye out for Funko’s Santa Grinch. We’re not 100% sure why they chose the odd colors for the variant. The variant should have been one Grinch with red eyes and the other with blue. These Pop!s land in December. Good luck, Junkies! Watch for them to go on sale at Entertainment Earth HERE.
The Twilight Zone The Night of the Meek Santa Claus 3 3/4-Inch Action Figure In Color Series 2 
This is one holiday-themed action figure that every fan of the Twilight Zone should own. Now Big Bang Pow! has done Santa from “Night of the Meek” before but this Series 2 colored edition will be easier to find than other previous incarnations. If you aren't sure which Twilight Zone I am talking about, turn on Season 2, episode 11 and grab a box of tissues. Get Santa HERE at Entertainment Earth.
