Comic-Con is a plethora of action figure exclusives. Each and every year we plan and scheme on going to San Diego, but life always gets in the way. When this does inevitably happen we start to plan and scheme how we are going to get these exclusives, without going. Thankfully, many of the companies offer pre-comic-con preorders. Which is how we obtained Mezco Toyz Commissioner Gordon and Bat Signal. We're not always lucky, but we know that companies, like Hasbro, will bring those exclusives to other conventions as well as their own website. Yet, if you really think about it, the cost of going to Comic-Con, in relation to paying for it online, afterward, is cheaper than traveling and waiting in line (which is no guarantee you will get it anyway).
Below, is AFJ's Top 10 SDCC 2019 Exclusives that we must-have and hope to land.
STAR WARS THE BLACK SERIES 6-INCH BOBA FETT FIGURE
Why: Just look at it, do we need more of reason? This is the very definition of Star Wars fandom/ hype. We love this figure and its whole concept. Everything from the packaging to the extra little detail of the Mandalorian logo on the left shoulder pad is what makes it a must-have.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (1990) – 7” SCALE ACTION FIGURE – THE CAPTURE OF SPLINTER 4-PACK
Why: To keep up with tradition, like last year, NECA announced their second SDCC2019 Exclusive, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 Movie) set. This one features Splinter, in his torture scene from the movie. Check out the full product details and images HERE on AFJ. Since we got both SDCC exclusives from last year this more than a must-have, it is a necessity!
SDCC 2019 GHOSTBUSTERS ACTION FIGURE BOX SET
Why: We simply cannot get enough of the Ghostbusters here at AFJ. Now, we know, we have all of those incredible Diamond Select figures already, un-slimed, but it is the display box that makes it a must-have. Yes, there are times that even we question our fandom, but this is the Ghostbusters!

The Transformers x Ghostbusters MP-10G Optimus Prime Ecto-35
Why: Polygon.com this Comic-Con 2019 Hasbro Exclusive. Behold, The Transformers x Ghostbusters MP-10G Optimus Prime Ecto-35! This special edition figure will be available at Comic-Con International in San Diego next month for $149 while supplies last (and eventually via Hasbro Pulse.com, for a brief time). This is the second Transformers-Ghostbuster hybrid release from Hasbro (see the Ecto-1 HERE), but it falls more in line a must-have/ perfect crossover!
Star Wars Concept Sandtrooper Mini-Bust – $120
Official Product Details: This exclusive mini-bust is inspired by the pre-visualization artwork of the original Star Wars films. Depicting one of the first known illustrations of a sandtrooper, this 6-inch scale bust is limited to 750 pieces and comes packaged in a full-color box with a certificate of authenticity. Designed and sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios.
Why: We love Star Wars, but this is based on Ralph McQuarrie's concept of what a Sandtrooper should look like. To have one of his pieces brought to life, in this manner, makes it a must-have, for us.
DC COMICS/DARK HORSE COMICS – 7” SCALE ACTION FIGURES – SUPERMAN VS ALIENS 2-PACK
Official Product Details: In the 1995 Superman/Aliens comic book mini-series co-published by DC Comics and Dark Horse, Superman faces the ferocious Xenomorphs on a search-and-rescue mission to a planet without a yellow sun, the source of his immense power. The set includes two brand new, comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Superman stands approximately 7” tall, features a fabric cape and comes with attachable eye blast effect. Why: By far the best Superman action figure we have seen a long time. A must-have for our DC collection. Oh, and we also love the comic!
DC COMICS/DARK HORSE COMICS – 7” SCALE ACTION FIGURES – BATMAN VS PREDATOR 2-PACK
Official Product Details: In the 1991 Batman Versus Predator comic book mini-series co-published by DC Comics and Dark Horse, the hunter becomes the hunted as Batman faces a deadly Predator stalking Gotham. The set includes two brand new, 7” scale comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Batman features a fabric cape and comes with a gun and bat accessory. The Predator features 2 heads, removable backpack, retractable wrist blades and spear accessory. This action figure 2-pack is inspired by classic comic book mash-ups! Why: Seriously, you need a "why" for this one? We'll give you the simplest reason, the wooden baseball bat!
POWER RANGERS LIGHTNING COLLECTION 6-INCH MIGHTY MORPHIN RED AND ZEO GOLD RANGER 2-Pack

Why: This one has nothing to do with the action figures, really. It has to do with the artwork! We love Stongstuff's look and design. That is our only reason for it being a must-have!
SDCC 2019 DC TMNT MICHAELANGELO AS BATMAN
Official Product Details: Based on the hit DC Comics crossover, Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mikey is decked out in Batman’s iconic cowl and cape in this awesome 2019 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive. Why: This is the perfect goofy Comic-Con exclusive. We love TMNT and Batman, so why not a figure of Mikey wearing a Batman costume! Yes, we already pre-ordered this one!
ONE:12 COMMISSIONER JAMES GORDON AND BAT SIGNAL – DELUXE EDITION

Why: Mezco exclusives, whether they are for SDCC, NYCC, or whatever are must-have for the true diehard collector. They have that extra something that will not only retain its value but enhance your collection. Case in point, the Bat-Signal that comes with Commissioner Gordon! Yes, we already ordered it!
