11 STAR WARS BLACK SERIES FIGURES THE JUNKIES WANT (2018)

Right after #Maythe4th, AFJ dropped our "Top 10 Star Wars Black Series Figure We Still Need (2018)". The response was pretty great from our closed Facebook Group of 36K members. We decide that the comments, made by the Junkies, really opened our eyes and we decide to post that list of 11, yes 11 characters that need the Black Series treatment.

Count Dooku (by David Rotheram)
Count DookuA brilliant suggestion Dave! Clearly, we need a Count Dooku (aka Darth Tyranus) 6-inch figure. With Hasbro's new "Photo Real" technology, and how great the Grand Moff Tarkin is, why don't we have Dooku yet? Hopefully, Hasbro will include some force lighting with this figure as well.

Zeb (by Stephen Ganschow)
Garazeb Orrelios
From the Star Wars Rebels TV series, comes Zeb (aka Garazeb Orrelios). And why not? We already have Kanan, Hera, and Sabine so we do need the rest of the crew of the ghost. Trust me, the Junkies aren't done with Star Wars Rebels characters yet.

The Inquisitors (by Kevin Geaslin)
Inquisitors
Hasbro and Lucasfilm crank out four packs from time to time of the Black Series characters. Usually with some sort of theme. Who better to come in a four pack than the Star Wars RebelsInquisitors? This has all the markings of an Entertainment Earth or Amazon exclusive. However, we think this would go over like gangbusters as Star Wars Celebration or Comic-Con Exclusive.

Padme Amidala (by David Rotheram)
Padme Amidala
It seems odd, but Hasbro and Lucasfilm have not tapped Padme Amidala for the Black Series. Is it Natalie Portman holding it back? A lack of interest? With the embrace of women in the franchise, why haven't they tapped anyone of her character's outfits for an action figure? The possibilities for Padame(s) are endless.

IG-100 MagnaGuards (by Kevin Geaslin)
IG-100 MagnaGuards
Here is a character, don't worry we'll get to who he guards in a moment, that not only has a crazy design, a cool weapon but also begs to have two purchased. Come on Hasbro, we need the MagnaGuards to protect General Grievous and give the Jedi more villains to fight.

General Grievous (by Kevin Geaslin)
General Grievous
In creating General Grievous, Hasbro may bump up the price, because of the number of arms, legs, and lightsabers. This will also be a complicated figure to construct (for them). We have some real snore figures in the Black Series line (multiple Jyn Erso and Cassian Andors to name just two), this is a badass villain who wields at least four lightsabers. How has he not been made yet?

Mace Windu (
by David Rotheram)
Mace Windu
David... "mic drop". Yeah, where the hell is this BMF? 'Nuff said.

Chopper (by Andrew Robert)
Chopper
Now, Chopper (C1-10P) would probably get his own figure release (see the two R2-D2 Black Series releases). Yet, BB-8 only came as an accessory with the first Force Awakens Rey. With the number of things Chopper has done (arm wise), I believe he warrants his own release. Yet, a simple version release with our next figure would be understandable.

Ezra Bridger (by Stephen Ganschow)
ezra bridgerThis incarnation, this is how we want the Ezra Bridger Black Series figure to appear. It was actually surprising to me that Kanan and Hera both had figures before the lead character in the Star Wars Rebels series. Perhaps Ezra will emerge in 2019?

Ree-Yees (by Steven Shanks)
Ree-YeesRandom Jabba's Palace guy? Nope. Not when you consider that Ree-Yees has had a figure in the original Kenner line, the Hasbro POTF line, and an exclusive Walgreens Pop! Actually, Ree-Yees would be the kind of crazy cool figure that collectors would go nuts for.

Cad Bane (by Ryan Felton)
cad bane
Yes, the Duro Bounty Hunter from Star Wars: The Clone Wars screams Black Series figure! If you haven't watched his adventures in The Clone Wars, you really are missing out. As much as Hasbro is missing out on the dollars of selling Bane to the Star Wars Collectors that want one.
