Welcome to AFJ's 31 Days of Horror Figures. For the month of October, we will be spotlighting the very best of the macabre, bizarre, monstrous, and villainous action figures the industry has to offer. There will be both old and new figures here and perhaps even a significance to why we picked that figure for that day (and perhaps not). This is NOT a ranking list, just full blown horror fun for the greatest month of the year. #AFJ4LIFE
Not every bump in the night emerges from a spooky castle or crypt. No, some come from a neighboring planet and want to mess up our world for the hell of it. Day 23 belongs to Trendmasters, now, classic Mars Attacks' Martian Ambassador. AFJ has selected the 6-inch scale version (notice there is no speaker on his stomach). If you have never seen this line or were too young to grab one of these toys, we added a picture of the 12-inch "Supreme" version below.
Tim Burton's film is a zany sci-fi horror film but one worth watching over the season. It will certainly dazzle you with how many stars are actually in the film. Hell, Jack Nicholson plays two different parts! It's really not confusing, just a bit distracting. Then again, the whole film is based on the Topps trading card series (by the same name). Weird you want, weird you got. You may be able to find one of these figures at a toy show or comic con. It will require some patience, but the Martian Ambassador is completely worth it.
