Figure: "The Night He Came Home" Action Figure Boxed Set [Michael Myers & Dr. Loomis]
Company: NECA
Series: Reel Toys
Property: Halloween (1978)
Availability: Secondary Market
Welcome to AFJ's 31 Days of Horror Figures. For the month of October, we will be spotlighting the very best of the macabre, bizarre, monstrous, and villainous action figures the industry has to offer. There will be both old and new figures here and perhaps even a significance to why we picked that figure for that day (and perhaps not). This is NOT a ranking list, just full blown horror fun for the greatest month of the year. #AFJ4LIFE
In 2004, NECA's Reel Toys released a Halloween two pack that proudly stands on AFJ's 31 Days of Horror Figures as one of the most expensive on the list. Yes, easily going for $350 to $450 on the secondary market, this is the two pack that defies all other two-packs. Here we have Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence), Michael Myers, and the steps to the Myers house. NECA went full on with this set and it was enough to drive older fans wild when it was released. NECA fans will mark this as one of the first, if not the first, "playsets" despite how basic it may be that paved the way for Freddy and Jason to have similar releases.
If you have one, Junkies, we hope that it is still in the box. If you do have it and it is opened, Dr. Loomis alone fetches a pretty penny. If you are the hunt for one, best of luck. Happy Halloween.
