THE NEXT DELUXE STAR WARS BLACK SERIES FIGURES (WISH LIST)

Without a doubt, Hasbro's new General Grievous (D1) Deluxe Black Series Series figure is a step in the right direction for the line. With that being said, Hasbro already dipped their toe into the water, unofficially, with the Gamorrean Guard and Moloch (both Target Exclusives). Now as toy collectors and enthusiasts we have to wonder who could be and who should be next. Yes, we have a list. #AFJ4LIFE

Droidekas
AKA: Destroyer Droids
Movie: Prequel Trilogy
Why: Hands down this is our best pick for the next deluxe figure to be announced. What we really would love is a thin blue plastic bubble to go over it. Having it fold up and roll away really would be something too. It also goes with the collector's mentality of troop building (meaning we will buy more than one).

Super Battle Droids
AKA: The more intimating Battle Droid
Movie: Attack of the Clones
Why: Again, a troop builder. He might be a regular Black Series release, however, a deluxe one might ensure that he stands better than his old 3.75-inch counterpart.

Imperial Probe Droid
AKA: None
Movie: The Empire Strikes Back
Why: The Probe Droid made it into the final 10 for the Hasbro Fan Vote this year. An excellent sign that he might get the green light sooner than later. Add to the mix that the 40th anniversary of Empire is upon us and the Probe Droid could be leading your Snowtroopers next year.

MagnaGuard
AKA:
IG-100
Movie: Revenge of the Sith
Why: Since we got General Grievous, his personal bodyguards cannot be far off. Again, this may be a regular release. After all, IG-100 is a robot with a cloth shroud. Having light up features, would warrant the deluxe price point though.

B'omarr Monks
AKA: BT-16
Movie: Return of the Jedi
Why: Strange and weird doesn't even come close to this resident of Jabba's Palace. We believe he is in the cards, but in 2023 with the 40th anniversary of Jedi. Plus, he will not find his way to Walmart or Target. This one has Walgreens written all over him.

Amanaman
AKA:
That giant yellow leech thing which I never got as a kid.
Movie: Return of the Jedi
Why: Jabba and his residents seem to be getting a lot of love lately from Hasbro. Did you see the Sail Barge? Did you see the Carbon Freeze display playset? Amanaman is definitely a deluxe figure with his giant body and elongated arms.

Wampa
AKA: Snow Monster
Movie: The Empire Strikes Back
Why: He got a two pack release in 2015 and now goes for a nice price on the secondary market. A lot of collectors are missing him. Mix that with Hasbro wiping away secondary prices with the recent Archive Black Series line and we could get our first Deluxe Archive Release. What would the package for that be like?

Unkar Plutt
AKA: Simon Pegg from Episode VII
Movie: The Force Awakens
Why: A bit of a long shot as he probably won't appear in Episode IX. He's big and goofy looking so he may show up as a store exclusive. For some reason, my gut tells me Walmart will get him.

Dexter Jettster
AKA: The guy who ran the Diner in Attack of the Clones.
Movie: Attack of the Clones
Why: It seems odd, but a Dexter Jettster, with his 4 arms and giant size, is ideal for the Deluxe Black Series. He may be too obscure for wholesale retailers, but why not make him a Walgreens or Comic-Con Exclusive.

Dianoga
AKA: Trash Compactor Monster
Movie: A New Hope
Why: All right, we know this one is a bit far fetched. With that being said, we have gotten both Han and Luke in their Stormtrooper disguises and even Luke with a wet head now. So why not give us the creature that attacked them in the Death Star? The Dianoga is a strange mixture of a shark, octopus, and the Loch Ness Monster. That screams toy for sure!
